*Personality
Chi is a rule unto herself. Its hard to explain her exactly other then icy, but maybe we should go through the list, aye?
As a human, Aria was a very shy and withdrawn child. It’s hard not to have been with the life that she had. She was raised to be poised and proper and when she wasn’t she got yelled at for it. She soon learned to just keep her mouth shut and keep pressing on, don’t make friends make connections. She never spoke her mind ever she kept her opinions to herself. She was often bullied and picked on in school because she had wealth and they didn’t, thus causing Cris’s hate for school. She was a spoiled brat who never got spoiled. But hell did the brat part come out later.
When she went to school, let’s just say that Pandora was an apt last name for this chica. It was like opening up Pandora’s box and nothing, I do mean nothing, could stuff her back in. Suddenly she was loud and obnoxious, often called a show off…but she was encouraged to be by her best friend and savior, Marluxia. He encouraged her to be herself and slowly he coaxed the turtle from her shell…nearly dying helped that along too. She was always showing off her skill and avoiding classes whenever she could.
Then she died for real. Because of how she died, Cris really shut down. That fire that once was so prevelant in her suddenly became more like a block of ice. From time to time, her friends still see that fire She became cold and unfeeling, her emotions locked up tight for no one to see. She constantly pushes people away, though she remained a horrible flirt, using this connection with boys to try and fill a void so to speak.
She remains attached to music though she doesn't know why because she doesn't play anymore. She loses herself in her work, often going for the dangerous jobs and the level ones because its the only time she feels. She doesn't identify with her name, often refusing to answer to it. She can be seen as a bit of a workaholic, blowing off Xi, Sin and Resh often to complete a mission.
*Appearance
Hair: In life it was a long soft chestnut that she often died wild colors. Now its got a weird sort of silvery hue to the brown, but she often requests to have it changed to wild colors if the mission allows. Eyes: An icy, almost metalic, blue that's always shut down and iced off. They are usually very guarded like she’s hiding from the world behind an ice wall. She has cat eyes and is usually wearing a lot of black eyeliner to accentuate this feature, though she leaves her lips natural without any form of makeup. Build: Chi stands at 5'8 and weighs a slim 120 points, she keeps herself in shape like all actives are required to do and couldn't gain a pound if she tried. Style: Cris’s usual style was that of a punk rocker. Her jewelry was usually leather and includes spikes of some sort. Almost all the jeans she owned were ripped at the knees, either from wear and tear or from her with a pair of scissors. She had a passion for denim and is usually wearing a denim jacket or jeans, and does not like anything she considers girly, meaning she stays away from skirts, though she will wear makeup around her eyes. As for now? Its mostly stayed with her, she tends to dress the same when she goes out. Scars/Piercings/Tattoos: She has a long scar down her back from a riding accident though she doesn't know that. The many scars she sustained when being murdered were erased by mother. In life her tongue was pierced but that was removed and she has no memory of it Anything else?: -- Face Claim: Skye Sweetnam
*History
Marianna was born a rich socialite to a family of old money. She had been raised to be the housewife and take care of the house, help run the business…basically to be the perfect woman. She had been groomed that way, her mother had groomed her much the way that she would groom her children. She married Phillip Phasee, the once rambunctious son of a wealthy man who settled down under Marianna’s dominating watch. Under Marianna’s direction, their already sizable wealth grew. And soon the estate they lived on did as well. And the stables. And the boats at the marina they rented. As well as whatever else they owned. Which was roughly a quarter of Tulsa’s businesses. She had Phillip Jr. first who was the apple of his mother’s eye, she adored him. He rode so well, always came home with tropheys, he was naturally brilliant…and he flirted as easily with girls as he was respectful with his parents’ friends. He was perfect.
Melina was next and she was much the same as her older brother except gentler. She never rode, she never was rough and rowdy. She was a perfect lady and had a passion for actually making her own clothes. She was a lady in every sense of the world. Three years later came Darla. She was a bit more wild, and once she hit 13 she was all over news and tabloids, but Marianna let it be…because it was still attention and it was normal for old money children to go wild.
Darla was two and Marianna was bored. The nannies cared for the children, the cooks did all the meals, the tutors took care of homework, and the gardeners took care of the yard. She only ever wanted three children, so her sex life with Phillip dwindled down. She was simply bored. She went out. And had an affair. He said his name was Aaron, and he was gorgeous, she simply couldn’t have resisted if she wanted to. She still played the perfect wife at home…but it was exciting for Marianna who had never done anything of the sort ever. It was a wild month of sneaking away from paparazzi to sneak around with him and fuck him silly, the only issue came at the end of that month. She became pregnant. And when he knew he left. She didn’t know she had been screwing a god, no one bothered t tell her. Maybe if they had she would have gone easier on little Aria, who knows? Not that it matters much seeing as he faded pretty soon after…
The realization that she had had a child with another man shocked Marianna back into her old ways…but worse. She was obsessed with perfection because she had done something that wasn’t perfect at all. When the child was born, she was relieved that the girl had her eyes at the very least…even if everything else didn’t resemble Marianna at all. She named the girl Aria.
She also didn’t act like either of the children that came before her.
Aria didn’t realize how much getting gold prize mattered to her mother, she just thought it was fun. Also…this was before her mother decided to train Phillip to become his father’s heir. So Phillip taught her how to ride and encouraged her wild behavior because, quite frankly, he thought his sister’s wild spirit was refreshing. He was often hurting himself however, and he taught Aria how to bandage him up so that way their mother wouldn’t know. She was only six, but she didn’t do half bad. As the years went on…she would only get better after all. And she did get better. So good their parents stopped noticing when he came in hurt.
It happened when she was eight. She was on her favorite horse that she had named Pyrois. Why? Because it was the first name that had popped into her head. And as a young Phasee, she was denied nothing…because Aria won all her competitions on horseback. But at any rate, when she was eight something happened. A snake spooked Pyrois…and he bucked, throwing Aria. To her misfortune, she ended up hitting the fencepost with the loose nail….it hit her square in the small of her back…and as she slid down it slid up her back…she screamed bloody murder when it caught at her shoulderblade and she practically hung by it for a few moments before falling. Panicking, Phillip had tried to hide it.
But a day later it was hard to ignore the red seeping through her shirt. Her mother found it and was livid. She may hate her youngest daughter…but as long as Cris was winning she would pretend to care. She actually yelled at Phillip and it caused a rift between the two siblings that would never be mended. Her mother also decided to take her to a new sport…gymnastics.
And damn did Aria love it. She wasn’t the best, and she wasn’t the fastest…but she loved it and she did well enough. Not well enough for her mother of course, but well….nothing ever really was.
Aria hit puberty early, that akward phase. It messed with her hormones and made her emotional, less likely to focus on her work. And her grades dropped because of this. And then she had issues with her physical sports because she was in her “filly years” where all her limbs just seemed too long. Her mother snapped. When Aria failed…she got shoved in a closet that her mother called the Thinking Room.
And then she would tell Aria how she wasn’t supposed to be alive. How she was an accident that shouldn’t have happened. And she would explain to the ten year old exactly how she had failed.
Aria retreated into herself. Gone was the fire in her soul that existed with her brother’s insistence. Gone was her smile. She began to read a lot to escape the real world. She would avoid her family as much as possible. She was alone in every sense of the word. She rarely left her room either, she didn’t need to. She still went to her competitions…she immersed herself in them, and she became flawless at her gymnastics…so her mother stopped bothering her about that at least. Aria was cold in some ways, a shy book worm that never spoke…never felt. And she ran away from things rather than face them.
When Aria was in the equivalent of fourth grade with her tutors, she asked her mother to let her go to school. Marianna refused. She said it would be a waste of time and no Phasee would attend such a low class school. But Aria was convinced life would be better outside, away from her mother. She made a deal with her mother. If she stayed at the top of the class, she could go to School. And Marianna agreed, figuring maybe this would motivate her fail of a daughter. She gave Aria the cold calculating look she reserved especially for this daughter. And agreed.
And Aria smiled.
I wish I could tell you she was right and life got easier after going to a public school. But it got worse. In school she was “Mousey Aria” who never spoke. She was teased because she had wealth and because she never spoke. And she grew to hate girls for their mean teasing ways. In her mind…girls are all backstabbing bitches. Because that was what they did to her. Most of Aria’s lunch periods were spent in the bathroom with her feet up, locked in a stall…crying. Aria cried a lot.
Distraught, Melinda went to her sister. Melinda had always been Aria’s rock, giving her new books when her mother took them away, comforting her when she cried…Aria adored Mellie more than anyone else in the world. And she brought Darla, they’re wild socialite sister into the mix. Together they made Aria…gorgeous. Aria had always been pretty, but her wild icy eyes had been hidden behind thick glasses, her blossoming figure behind baggy sweaters and skirts…they remade the now fourteen year old girl into something gorgeous. So, working together, they snuck her out. Into a club. Being that the sisters knew just about everybody there due to their status in society, the owners turned a blind eye to the younger girl in their club and pretended it didn’t exist as long as she didn’t drink and behaved herself.
Boys fell all over her and for the first time she felt love. Aria would dance and flirt and she started to open up a little bit. Boys were her freedom in those days. She was extremely naive and didn’t realize that they were interested in her because she was gorgeous and wealthy, all she knew was that she was finally getting attention. She flirted, she played, she danced….when she was out it was like she was a different person, a happier person. This made Darla and Melinda happy, they had finally brought their baby sister out of her shell, if only for a few hours every night before she shut down again at home. She could flirt and dance with boys…and be the center of attention, which she never really got to be before.
One night she did drink…and she shouldn’t have. She lost her virginity that night…and because of how she lost it, she doesn’t see sex as a sacred act at all. Its just…something to do. She doesn’t remember loosing her virginity either. She just knows she did.
When her mother found out she was livid. She actually hit Aria and shoved her in the Thinking Room…for a full day. It sent Aria into her very first panic attack. And it caused her to be so deeply claustrophobic as she now is.
Aria, as a human, was a very quiet girl who never spoke much. She was destined for the same life as her siblings, Ivy League, top of the line job, top of the line blue blood husband, top of the line life, all under her parent’s controlling fists. And she hated it.
She nearly died one time on her way home one day at fourteen, and it was bad. She found herself sick and dizzy with a fever that came out of no where, she didn’t get what was going on. She collapsed and probably would have died if a boy hadn’t found her and carried her all the way back to the boarding school where he was staying.
Marluxia stayed with her as she healed, and stayed with her when they gave her a single dorm room due to her claustrophobia. And it was then she realized all that was going on in her life…all she had lost. And she broke down…and he didn’t push her away. Marluxia simply helped calm her, simply stayed with her. They formed a fast friendship. She decided to stay the moment that she got better. And she begged her mother, eventually the woman decided it’d be good for her. And she decided she was changing her name in that moment as well. Becoming Crissatha Pandora…and she changed a lot along with that. With the House’s money…she bought herself a simple wardrobe. And she dyed her hair with colors. Maruxia didn’t approve…but she needed to get farther away from Aria. She didn’t need her glasses either, she had grown out of them by this point. It helped...because suddenly, no one even thought to compare her to Aria unless they looked hard enough at her face.
And then he taught her how to play music.
It was so freeing…and it unlocked something in the newly dubbed Cris. It was like she was back to that six year old…wild, crazy…showoff to the extreme. She still loved boys and took t messing around with boys to distract her. She spent her days at the House being a delinquent who never went to class and played her music by the East wall. She did well in class, but she didn’t put much effort in to it, spending all her time with this boy that had saved her. And then a few months later…Melinda called her…and reconnected with her, admitting she knew her mother was wrong and began to help her baby sister again.
She seemed fearless and like nothing could get her down. That wasn’t just an image she projected either, Cris was wild. And she was happy that way. The only thing she ever worried about was when she was going to meet up with Lux and what boy she was going to be with. She had many boys that she tried to constantly make happy, Steven being one, because she liked to mess around without any commitment. But when she did commit she committed. The only issue? She tended to take to boys who abused her in the end, hurting her so bad Lux would try to kill them for touching her…seeing as he was practically her big brother. Not that people usually slept with their best friends…and Cris had slept with Lux, not that it seemed to put a strain on their friendship at all.
But then one time her promiscuous ways bit her in the ass big time. She was in her junior year, the very beginning of it in fact and she had just taken up with a new boy…and he was wild. Something she actually usually liked about her boys. They were more fun that way to her. She was out with her latest boy, a Oliver in name, and they were simply going for a walk and a date. Until he pushed her against a tree. He tried to go farther then Cris wanted to go. Cris may like to please boys, but she never went farther then she wanted to, ever. She tried to push him away but he was stronger then her. It took all her strength to get him away and then she accidently knocked him out. She strung him from a tree and wandered away, emotionally exhausted. This was too much for her mental state. Lux found her and helped her, took her back to her room, and after a while she forgot about the incident
Soon she met a group of friends that she would stay with nearly twenty four seven when she wasn’t with Lux. They were a bratty group of delinquents and she fit in just fine. She even managed to fall in love with one of them despite her need to totally shut herself off from that sort of life. They pulled pranks all the time and for a full year ran wild around the school. They were juniors, what could stop them? They got in detention a lot but that was alright by her. She was in love, she had an amazing group of best friends, and she was happy.
So when her mother called for her to come home, she figured she could handle that because her mental state was pretty good at that point. She figured that nothing could get her down. It was easy enough. She walked over to her former house, and was happy to see her sisters, her nieces and nephews, and for a time that was all well and good. She was taking a long weekend at home. Only, what happened soon always happened. She got in a fight with her mother. Cris had a distrust of technology, so she had no cell phone on her at all to call anyone, she didn’t think she needed to.
She had left the house without a word, without even taking her denim jacket because she had intended on coming back for it. Her parents figured she had just left back for boarding school without saying anything and didn’t worry, and her friends thought she was back at her own house. The first day she missed school no one blinked, Cris always cut. The second was the same. After three days, her worried friends called the house, and were informed Cris left days ago.
Then the worry set in.
She had forgotten about the boy who had cornered her, the one who she had strung up in the tree after he had tried to go too far, but he hadn’t forgotten about her. And he took his chance when he saw her walking home alone, distracted by her angry thoughts and not paying any attention. He plucked her off the streets, it being too dark and late for anyone to notice, and he was prepared for it, he ahd been waiting for his moment.
Twenty two days later her body was found at dawn by an Active returning to CU. Her body was draped in the arms of the Angel statue in the center of town.
The coroner at CU spoke of physical abuse, so many broken bones and gashes and burns, and also sexual abuse. That was what the boy had wanted in the first place after all. But due to her years of gymnastics that she had never slowed down on, her body was in prime physical shape, and she was brought into the fold. They were down an active anyone, one had just been lost in a mission. The animation was a loud one, she was still caught up in her memories of being abused, screaming all the way…
”No! No! What the fuck—What are you doing! No! Let me go! Put me down!” the girl had screeched, unaware of what was going on, unaware of what they were going to do. Until she was rendered immobile by the needles that were on the seat of the chair they put her down on.
Now, now, dear, patience. said a far too motherly voice and she couldn’t move. That was all that mattered. She couldn’t move. She wanted to whimper and scream and cry, but her voicebox must be sore and worn out. She couldn’t…she couldn’t scream.
And then the volt of electricity hit the back of her neck and she screamed then
A day later, Cris became Active Chi though she never identified with the title. She was terrified for a while, feeling blank as most Actives due when they are first created, but she had created her own personality for herself once, and it seemed this was no exception, she pushed herself to become a real person again. And Active Xi noticed. He was impressed. Always at the top of the leaderboard, he was cocky and he was like Lux, though she had no idea who that was. She clicked with him right away. And he introduced her to Sin and Resh, the rest of their clue. Always on the top, so she’d have to be there too he had teased.
He didn’t need to tease, she was determined to get up there. And she did. They bickered like siblings, often in a playful rivalry for number one, though often times Xi’s seniority and experience meant he was topping her, that was okay. The quartet often, because of their status, got permission to go out into the town with new memories and appearances to have a little fun. Though Chi was often blowing them off to work, and they’d make bets on whether or not she would. She knows that her killer was never caught, so she feels like her former self never got any justice and because of this she often takes the murder cases, trying to give justice to others she never feels she herself was granted.
Life settled into that routine…and she’s content with it. She doesn’t want it shaken up, and she doesn’t want to know who she used to be. She was made for the Hunt. And she’s happy with that.
